C - Conservatory
This was a space that was hard to utilize - enclosed with glass wall and only 3.5" wide (former show window before they installed those damned diamond shaped windows). I am NOT a plant person, but surprisingly, this space works for the few plants and a bunch of "stuff" that would otherwise be packed away and forgotten before I got around to selling it................
East wall of large room showing what became the conservatory - before the "walls" creating the vestibule and reception foyer were in place. The only access to the space was through those little hatchway doors.........but fortunately(!) the last window on the right was missing the pane, so I cut out the bottom portion and created an entry.
View of the entry, reception foyer on the left
View from the reception foyer, through the glazed wall
Same
Same
View from the vestibule, through the glazed wall
Some views of the crap stuffed into the conservatory:
That dreadful blue/gray carpet was there and I have not gotten around to replacing it...........the "wall paper" is actually some old king-sized sheets, stapled top and bottom - while i effectively use the space as a sort of dumping ground, it is visible from the rest of the space so it has to have some sort of cohesiveness.......OH! almost forgot! that crochet edging that shows in some photos is actually on the ends of BATH TOWELS - a DIY project one of my relatives did back in the late 1930's...........the edging colours matches the stripes in the towels (loverly blues, greens, yellows and purples....)................I'd go out soaking wet before I'd use one of those on my body................
